Nya Konditoriet

This café is, despite its name which translates to The New Café, very old. Classic Swedish cafés of old cut are becoming more and more rare - but here is a real gem. For many decades, Umeå residents and visitors have been able to have a ”fika” (Swedish for coffee and pastries) on the second floor of the Kungsgatan building. Learn more here

Presteles Trädgårdscafé och logi

Here you can have organic fika (i.e. Swedish for coffee and pastries,) but also stay overnight, if you wish! Fika is served either indoors in the cosy Kafésalen or in the garden (during the summer.) The bread is baked with great care in the wood-fired stone baking oven. Learn more here
