Sylph – Halla Ólafsdóttir

Dance performance. In her first work for Cullberg, Halla Ólafsdóttir is based on the mythological creature sylfiden, an aerated and an ethereal forest creature with the power to transform itself. Coarser, rawer, taller and stronger than humans, the sylphides have a voice and a gigantic body. They wander in and out of a mysterious world, dancing, whispering, rustling, tapping and chewing like creatures or animals in a forest.
