Popular sea bath with cliffs and a long sandy beach with several beach volleyball courts. Often well visited. Large car parking.

Undiscovered gems to explore

 

Fårskärets havsbad

On the beautiful Järnäs peninsula you will find the family-friendly Fårskäret sea bath. Long sandy beach, cosy and shallow.
How to get there: Drive E4 south from Umeå towards Nordmaling, exit at the northern entrance to Nordmaling and shortly after Levar hotel, turn left. After 13 km - follow the sign for Fårskäret.

Storsand

1 km north of the Ratan harbour you will find the hidden gem Storsand, with both sand and cliffs in a sheltered cove, with views straight out on the horizon. Access to outdoor decking and changing cabin.
How to get there: Drive E4 north towards Ratan or take the old coastal road Kustlandsvägen.

Simphamn

Bathing bead of a smaller size. A little beach hided in the Strömbäck-Kont nature reserve. At the beach there is a barbecue area with a picnic table and drinking water is featured. 
How to get there: From the E4 south from Umeå you exit towards Norrmjöle. After 18 kilometers, in Sörböle, turn left towards Flakaskär.
