Since 1 January 2026, Visit Umeå AB has been wholly owned by the Municipality of Umeå through Umeå Kommunföretag. We are a destination development company dedicated to enhancing quality of life and strengthening Umeå's appeal for both residents and visitors.
We achieve this by developing the destination and the visitor economy responsibly, taking environmental, social, cultural, and economic sustainability into account. Our goal is to make Umeå an attractive, welcoming, and inclusive place where more people want to visit, live, work, and thrive.
