Rewilding-hike along Hjuksån
Date: 2 October

Organiser: Rewilding Sweden
About the activity: Join the Rewilding Sweden team for a peaceful walk along the Hjuxån River at Ledåforsen, just outside Hällnäs. During the walk, you will see what rewilding can look like in practice and learn more about why small details in a watercourse can make a big difference. Discover how everything from spawning gravel to rocks, dead wood and flowing water can work together to help the landscape recover.
There will also be time to enjoy coffee brewed outdoors and to listen to a local storyteller sharing reflections and stories connected to the area.

Husky walk
Date: 2–3 October
Time: 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Location: Granö
Organiser: Spruce Island Husky
About the activity: Enjoy a guided walk through the beautiful countryside around Granö and the Ume River, accompanied by your own husky attached to a waist belt. The walk lasts approximately two hours, with a break for refreshments along the trail.
Difficulty level: Beginner, family-friendly

After Work-hike in the dark
Date: 2 October
Time: 5:30–8:00 p.m.
Location: Tjälamark to Hamptjärnsstugan
Organiser: Friluftsfrämjandet Umeå
About the activity: Start the weekend in the best possible way by joining Friluftsfrämjandet for an after-work hike in the dark, using headlamps, from the village of Tjälamark to Hamptjärnsstugan. There, you will enjoy your packed meal by an open fire. Once everyone is full and satisfied, you will walk back down Hamptjärnsberget.
Difficulty level: Beginner
Price: SEK 70 for members, SEK 100 for non-members. Free for children aged 15 and under when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Walking Meditation
Date: 2–4 October
Time: Whenever it suits you
Organiser: Inner Strength
About the activity: Unwind after a long day at your own pace. Inner Strength offers guided audio sessions that combine movement and recovery, inspired by nature and the changing seasons. You can take these sessions with you on a walk or run, pausing at a scenic spot to be guided through breathing exercises, mobility training, or more challenging core and balance exercises.
After spending time outdoors, you can also choose calmer, longer sessions designed to help you bring the tranquillity of nature into your home. All you need is a pair of headphones.
